The Way Maker
Light in the darkness
That is Who He is.
Exodus 14 shows us He is a way-maker. He parted the Red Sea for the people of Israel. They were corned by Pharaoh and the Egyptians until God told Moses to place the wooden staff in the water which parted the waters. The Bible also says that as the people of Israel walked through from one side to the other, they did so on dry ground. He is a way-maker.
Mark 1-3 testify of many miracles Jesus performed. In Mark 1:40-45, Jesus had compassion for a man with leprosy who came to Jesus, knowing He alone could heal him and so He did. The word of God says that as soon as Jesus said “I will. Be clean” (Mark 1: 40-45), the leprosy immediately departed from him and he was healed. In Mark 2:1-12, Jesus was teaching in a house in Capernum and immediately word got out that He was in town so the house was crowded. Four men, brought before Him a paralytic man who was lowered from the roof because there was no room to enter through the door. Jesus forgave his sins, told him to walk and immediately, the man was healed and able to walk. Mark 3:1-6 speaks about the man with the withered hand that encountered Jesus at the synagogue. Jesus told him to stand, then told him to stretch out his hand which he did and his hand was fully restored. He is a miracle worker.
In Deuteronomy 7:9, God told the people of Israel that He is a faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations. He is a promise keeper.
In John 1, John the Baptist, testifies that Jesus is the Light in the darkness. Jesus told His disciples in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” Jesus is the Light in the darkness.
There isn’t one thing we don’t need that God can’t be for us. He has been my Healer, my Deliverer, my Hope, my Best Friend, my Comfort, my Shield, my Strong Tower, my Provider, my First Love, my all in all. He’s everything I need.
Tonight I encourage you to make this is a declaration in faith. Declare these truths over your life, your home, your children, your health, your job, your marriage, over the nations of the world. He IS above all.
God bless you.
