Seek First The Kingdom Of God

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33

This world teaches us to pursue possessions, money, cars, and even people. The belief is that upon obtaining these things, we’ll receive a sense of gratification or accomplishment for having obtained them.

But what happens when the possessions are taken away, the money runs out, the cars get old/damaged/out of fashion and what happens when people leave? There is a void longing to be filled to replace that which is lost.

This isn’t the way the Bible tells us, who serve the Lord to live. Jesus said to seek first the kingdom and His righteousness; being in right standing with Him and ALL these things shall be given to us. So, when we seek to please God, when we are ultimately about the Father’s business and doing what is right in His sight, He’ll give us those things we need.

This scripture has resonated in my spirit throughout the day and tonight, I understood what the Lord was telling me, specifically.

Now I share Matthew 6:33 with the you and propose the following questions. What are you pursuing? What do you want/need? Seek first the kingdom of God and all those things in accordance with His divine will, will be given to you. Have a good night.
