In preparation for Hurricane Irma and having started a new job last week; I’m sorry I haven’t had the chance to write much lately but I wanted to take a moment to say this: Jesus is coming. The following events have taken place/ will take place soon:
⁃ Hurricane Harvey flooding the coast of Texas
⁃ 8.2 magnitude Earthquake in Mexico followed by a small tsunami and then a category 2 hurricane
⁃ Wild fires in Los Angeles affecting the quality of air
⁃ Tornados in the Midwest
⁃ The largest category 4/5 hurricane covering the entire state of Florida, threatening storm surges of up to 12 feet in some areas along the coast of Florida; leaving many parts of Florida flooded
⁃ Another category 4 hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean threatening the same islands pummeled by Hurricane Irma shortly after.
⁃ Scientists currently working on plan to prevent Supervolcano near Yellowstone Park
“But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.”
“Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.” Revelation 12:1-2
““And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Luke 21:25-27
But worry not! In fact, rejoice! Because His return is imminent. This is what His children have been waiting for. This is an opportunity for all of us who serve the Lord to evangelize more, pray more, love more, forgive more, and walk in the call of God over our lives while there is still time. This is an opportunity for those who aren’t serving the Lord as they should to repent and return to the Lord and for those who don’t serve the Lord to repent and believe Jesus is Lord. Believe the gospel.
Jesus’s return isn’t a fictional story told to scare people straight. It is an event approaching humanity and it’s nearer than it was 100 years ago.
A thousand years to us is as one day to the Lord (2 Peter 3:8). So what we consider to be taking a “long time” is just on time for God.
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”” Luke 21:28
Praise the Lord! Let’s be ready. The King is coming back!
