Strength For The Journey

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” II Corinthians 12:9

God will not send you on a journey unprepared. He will not send you weak and alone. He won’t send you blind. There is always a season of preparation beforehand. In that season you’ll be deeply rooted in Him and you’ll grow in knowledge of His Word. Then when that journey begins, you’ll be ready. The storms may rage but you’ll be anchored in Jesus. You may feel shaken by the situations that arise but Christ, the hope of glory will be with you. You may feel afraid but Christ is your peace. You may not remember what to pray but the Holy Spirit will pray for you. Jesus will be your Rock, Strength and Strong Tower. He’ll be your Defense, your Anchor. He likely won’t remove the situation because He might want to teach you something and grow your faith; but He will not leave you alone. He will strengthen you for the journey. You’ll begin to see that it is His strength carrying you through and when you’ve reached the other side; you’ll be thankful He didn’t remove the thorn but strengthened you to endure. You’ll be stronger because of it. His power is made perfect in our weakness. So boast in your weakness because Christ will be your strength through it all.
