It’s A Matter Of The Heart

The heart is the most vital organ in our bodies. The Bible speaks so much about the heart. Advising us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23). The Word of God reminds us that our hearts can deceive us (Jeremiah 17:9). A heart can be hardened against God (Hebrews 3:7-11), the Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45), and as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7). So, as we can see, the heart is important and what we allow in our hearts and to come out of our hearts, matter. I just wanted to share a few scriptures that we can turn into prayers to the Lord to keep our hearts always submitted to Him.

Psalm 139.23May this be a constant prayer for us, so long as we keep our hearts humble before the Lord, asking Him to search us; He will be faithful to show us what’s inside of us.

Psalm 26.2The Lord can always work with a heart that is yielded to Him for change, a heart that desires to please God in all things. May we stay moldable so that the Holy Spirit can do His perfect work in us.1 Samuel 16.7The heart holds so much mystery that cannot be seen by the eye of man. No one will ever know what truly lies in the heart of a person. But God does. Before we have considered it in our heart; He knew. He judges our heart. Do we desire relationship with God or just an answered prayer? Are our intentions pure toward others or are they selfish? He knows it all. It’s so important we check our hearts daily.
