Jesus Is… Defender

But the Lord is my Defense, and my God is the Rock of my refuge.” Psalm 94:22

The Lord defends His children. There isn’t one person in scripture walking in right standing with God that the Lord didn’t defend. The Lord hates injustice; especially when one of His children has done what is right in His eyes. Continue to do what God has told you to do, continue on the path He’s told you to walk, continue walking aligned in His will that He is faithful to defend you.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my Defender. In every situation where the enemy has risen against me, you have Defended me. You have backed me up. Thank You for the courage and boldness You’ve given me to walk in obedience; knowing that You will deal with the injustice I’ve experienced. Tonight, I pray for those experiencing injustice, persecution, gossip and lies spoken against them for doing what You have told them do; for being obedient to You despite what others might say. Help them trust that You will be there Defense. That You will stand behind that which You have asked them to do. May they not fear but rest in You. May they place their trust in You. Just like You defended David against the enemies that rose up against him, You will defend those walking in right standing; You will be with those who are righteous before You. Thank You for showing up on their behalf. Thank You for silencing the voice of the enemy. Lord, You are not a man that You should lie nor the son of man that You should repent. Your Word will never return to You void. Thank You for that truth. Thank You for being our Rock, and for upholding us. We rest in You, tonight. In Jesus name, amen.
