BE NOT DECEIVED; There IS a Difference Between a Prophet of God and a Psychic.

I feel an urgency in my spirit to shed light on the following topic. My prayer is that whoever reads this and doesn’t know the difference regarding what I’m about to share; may their eyes be open and may they receive revelation from the Lord so that they may no longer be deceived by the powers of darkness because it goes on far too often! Father God, Author of ALL CREATION, let those who have eyes, see and those who have ears, hear.

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PROPHET OF GOD AND A PSYCHIC.

Prophets are God’s mouthpieces. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, they deliver warnings, instruction; confirmations; direct words from God. Prophets are not psychics nor should they ever be confused with psychics.

Psychics (a form of a false prophet), are pawns from the pit of hell; used by the devil to deliver half-truths so that they may be believable and they also prophesy falsely into the lives of people. People, as a result of lack of knowledge “accept” these false prophecies “predictions” as gold and as a result; some may come to pass and sometimes not then God gets the some twisted kind of “credit or blame” though the actions and outcome are not biblical or aligned with God’s perfect and HOLY Will and Word.

People, PLEASE be VERY CAREFUL with dabbling in horoscopes, palm and psychic readings, or anything that will tell you the “future” or where a loved one has “passed on” to “if they’ve passed on at all, etc. Additionally, Christians should never play with this type of thing that isn’t of the Lord.

*****This behavior will guarantee access to the enemy as this kind of witchery lets evil spirits into the lives of people.

What is a prophet? The following is true to the Word of God. “The “prophet” proclaimed the message given to him, as the “seer” beheld the vision of God. (See Num. 12:6, 8.) Thus a prophet was a spokesman for God; he spoke in God’s name and by His authority (Ex. 7:1). He is the mouth by which God speaks to men (Jer. 1:9; Isa. 51:16), and hence what the prophet says is not of man but of God (2 Pet. 1:20-21; compare Hebrews 3:7; Acts 4:25; 28:25).”

What is a psychic? The following definition will help clarify what a psychic is and does: “relating to or denoting faculties or phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy or clairvoyance; ”Psychic powers” synonyms: supernatural, paranormal, otherworldly, supernormal, preternatural, metaphysical, extrasensory, magic, magical, mystical, mystic, OCCULT.

The Bible is VERY clear about turning to these sources for information.

To name a few, here are some scripture references to confirm what I’ve shared about psychics:

Leviticus 19:31: “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.”

Leviticus 20:6: “If a person turns to mediums and necromancers, whoring after them, I will set my face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.”

Leviticus 20:27: “A man or a woman who is a medium or a necromancer shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.”

Isaiah 8:19-20: “And when they say to you, “Inquire of the mediums and the necromancers who chirp and mutter,” should not a people inquire of their God? Should they inquire of the dead on behalf of the living? To the teaching and to the testimony! If they will not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.”

1 John 4:1: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

The Bible is also very clear about His prophets:

Deuteronomy 18:18: “I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.”

Deuteronomy 18:15: “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen.”

Amos 3:7: “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.”

2 Peter 1:21: “For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Hosea 12:10: “I spoke to the prophets; it was I who multiplied visions, and through the prophets gave parables.”

Luke 1:70: “As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old.”

Psalm 105: 14-15: He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”

If you or anyone you know and know and love have dabbled with these forces and were unaware until now; please seek the Lord, repent and find forgiveness in Him. Through the authority given to us by God, close any and all demonic doorways opened in your life and reject any further false prophecies spoken over your life that DO NOT COME FROM GOD through His Word or through His holy people.

Jesus said in John 14:6 “I AM the WAY, I AM the TRUTH, I AM the life and no one comes to the Father except through ME.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name.
