A Sincere Letter to the LGBT Reader from the Heart of God

Dear LGBT Reader:

Please allow me to begin this letter by saying that my approach is one of love, not of hate and certainly not of judgement because the God I serve is a God of love, a God of mercy and a God of forgiveness to all mankind alike.

Lately, while watching the news, I can’t help but see and be saddened by the direct attacks, politically and personally toward the Christian Community for standing firm on what the Word of God says about all issues that are not pleasing unto The Lord. The attacks, I believe are not justifiable for any reason. The same is true for attacks and responses that are ungodly toward the LGBT community that are not righteous before the eyes of God.

I will not make excuses and in fact, I sincerely apologize for the ones who call themselves Christians yet spread condemnation and hate words in the name of God the Father or in the name of Jesus. I can assure you that is not of God nor will the God I serve ever tell anyone to spread hate to anyone who isn’t a follower of Jesus Christ.

Yes, the Bible tell us in Romans 12:19 “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good”. What does God hate? Sin. What will God do away with at the end of the world? Sin. Why? Because God is a Holy God. So much so, He had to look away from His own Son as He hung on the Cross of Calvary. Why? Because Jesus carried the weight of the sins of the world within Him, causing Him to be forsaken by His Father in Heaven so that He will no longer have to forsake us, mankind. God forsook His only Son because He loves us that much. If that isn’t love, what is? 2 Corinthians 5:21 tells us that “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him”.

My prayer for you (who are reading this letter) is this: May you come into the full knowledge and awareness of who God created you to be. You were created in His perfect image. Before He formed you in your mother’s womb, He knew you as Jeremiah 1:5 tells us. You were designed with a calling upon your life and you’re destined for amazing wonders in the Lord if only; you would see yourself as He sees you. If only, you would give your heart to Him who holds the world in His hands.

If only, you would shut out the voices of those around you bombarding you with many blasphemous opinions about Who God is or Who He isn’t and be still long enough to ask Him how much He loves you and wait for His response because the truth is, He loves you as much as John 3:16-17 says He does. “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.” These promises in the Bible are not only true for me because I am a follower of Christ, but they are also true for you IF you choose to put your hope in Christ Jesus and turn away from a life that separates you from Him. God doesn’t separate Himself from us but rather, a sinful lifestyle, with denial of the Son of God, keeps us away from God.

He loves you more than you could ever fathom; more than you will ever love yourself and even more than the way you could love another because GOD IS LOVE.

Because God is Holy, He cannot accept a lifestyle that is against His perfect Will. This isn’t new news. This is true for any lifestyle but in this letter, I’m addressing yours. It’s in the Bible. Sodom and Gomorrah, a city which lived in abomination to the Lord, was destroyed because of the ungodliness, the acts that were committed against the Lord, because of the sinful ways that were not as God designed them to be.  The Bible is black and white – there are no shaded areas to leave confusion to mankind. God is not a God of confusion – He is a God of clarity. In Leviticus 20:13, God said clearly, “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.”

God is love, YES. What people don’t want to hear is that God is also a consuming fire and a righteous Judge therefore; the day will come when everyone alike, will have to stand before God and give account for his/her life. At that time, there will be no turning back. There won’t be another chance to ask for forgiveness. Judgement will fall upon the ones who denied Christ and lived a life that wasn’t pleasing to Him; a life that trampled on the precious and perfect, stainless blood of the Son of God; a life that grieved the Holy Spirit.

In the beginning, Satan, the enemy of our souls, knew that if he could get man to sin against God, he would hurt the heart of God. So he’s been on a mission, ever since to keep mankind away from God. He paints a picture of a great life – without God – but doesn’t tell you what to expect at the end of your natural life. There is an eternity once you shut your eyes and take your last breath. The question I would like to propose to you is, where will you spend your eternity? With God, in heaven or apart from God, in hell where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth as written in Matthew 13:42. Where the worms never die and the fire is never quenched as written in Mark 9:48. Where grace is absent as is the presence of the Almighty God. Hell is real and all who live a sinful life – a life of disobedience, a life outside of God, knowingly, will surely spend eternity there.

Jesus said it, that those who deny Him, He will also deny. “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33.

I have GREAT NEWS THOUGH! The Bible also says in Psalm 103:12 that “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

I will end with this, GOD DOES NOT HATE YOU. HE LOVES YOU! He desires that you in turn, will love Him and accept His Son as your Savior. He desires to show you great and mighty things in Him. He is a loving God who wants to heal your pain, He wants to wash your sins white as snow, He wants you to be made NEW in HIM.

Let God show you how Mighty He is and to show you just how much He truly does love you. I PROMISE, your life will never be the same!

Right now, there might very well be a battle within you…. The battle is for your soul. You want to believe that what I am saying is true and I promise you it is! The enemy (Satan) is telling you I’m just another religious fanatic and judgmental person who is against you. That is far from the truth! I speak the words I have only because they come from the very heart of God and He so desires to save you and make you a new person in Him. He wants to forgive you and He wants to change your life, giving you a life like you’ve never had!

Your past, can be erased. All that you’ve done wrong, can be forgiven. Not by man – but by God! But you have to choose to walk away from the life you know, and trust Him that He will take you into a life you never knew; a life that will change you forever and guarantee your eternal salvation in Christ Jesus when you choose to walk in obedience to His Word.

If you feel a tugging within you that is letting you know there could be truth to what I’ve shared; if you feel within you that you want to believe what God says in His Word; that He truly loves you and that He truly CAN forgive you and WILL forgive you, if you want to believe that He will erase your sins, believe it! Not for me, but for YOU!

If you want to take God at His Word, ask Him into your heart. Be sincere with Him; tell Him how you feel, confess your sins and ask Him to be your Savior.

The Bible says in 1 John 1:9 that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Salvation comes from true and sincere repentance (turning away from sins). The Bible also says that “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

God bless you and please, please know that Jesus loves you!

Be blessed,
